sure thing! for most of my stuff i just use the default circular, hard-edged brush with 100% opacity and flow (pressure enabled):
for drawings like the one below i simply turn off the pen pressure (circled) and use a small brush:

seriously, if you’re new to painting (or like me and too overwhelmed and lazy to use a zillion brushes), download this one. it’s so pleasant and versatile to work with and it looks great
